Dear Bangster,
We are planning for a ride during the Deepavali break from 8/10/07 to 11/10/07. To date, Kenny, Phang and myself are ' ON '.
Ben Wong, heard about your frustration ( no body respond to you mail, ha,ha..............) last week. Never mind, we will make it up during this ride.
So, lets have fun. |

Oonta is raring to go. But where? South? Why not up north along the coast e.g
KL - S. bernam - Teluk Intan - Lumut - Bagan Serai - Nibong Tebal - Butterworth - Sg Petani - Yan - and finally Kuala perlis....return vide NS highway....K. Perlis - Changloon - Jitra - Butterwortk - Iph - KL-
Overnite in Penang Island at Naza Hotel (beach front with Swimming pool).
Let's gatecrash either Rashid's or Fadzil's or Deng's or Zain's, house during Raya holidays to discuss the trip.....
Bye for now.... _________________ What? Me Worry? |

Too much North for the past few trips.
So, South bound is in order time
We can re-trace our previous trip
ie KL - Tg Piai - JB - Mersing - KL
Try to throw Endau Rompin somewhere ... in |

Dearest
Any thoughts on the Deepavali ride. I thought of using this ride to explore the south eastern part of the peninsula. We should take our time to visit the beaches, fishing villages, jetties and forest reserves along the way...
I am suggesting theafollowing route
KL - Gambang - Muadzam Shah - Kuala Rompin - Mersing - Kota Tinggi - JB (overnite to S'pore?) - Kulai - Skudai - Pontian - Kukup - Tg Piai - Benut - Batu Pahat - Muar - Melaka - Linggi - PD - Sepang - Banting - Klang - KL.
Places to explore
1. Air Papan Beach
2. Tg Penyabong
3. Tg Leman
4. Desaru
5. Stop at those WW2 fortress along the Mersing - K. Tinggi road.
6. A few forest reserves along the way....
7. Mersing & surrounding areas
8. Taman negeri Endau Rompin
9. Fishermen jetties at K. Rompin, Endau, Mersing etc....
Suggested places to stay
Mersing - Seri Malaysia
Tg Piai - Kukup Golf Resort, Hotel Pontian or Tg Piai Resort.
Any hotels in B Pahat or Muar
Suggest a meet up this Sunday morning to discuss the trip..somewhere quite, no batgirls, good food and drinks with free refills...
Any chance of making you all change your mind to go up North????...
Bye for now...
Oonta
Ride sypnosis...
We are going to have a drinking session down south. We will meet up in Melawati. Meanwhile Mohan and Deng will ride in circles around the UiTM campus looking for Batgirls. All this while Ben is away overseas.
Rashid and Fadzil can't make it as they have appointment with the ENT specialist at Ampang Putri seeking treatment for partial hearing impairment. Ivan will be a bit late as he has yet to reach his bike which parked in Concord....
hehehe...this really made my day... _________________ What? Me Worry? |

I thought we supposed to met at the bus stop first, then park our bikes at the Concord Hotel and walk over right, The place is only 500 mtr away, not too far lah.

Hope this helps.....
I might not be around.....as David Gates once sang..."If a man could be at two places at one time. I'd be with you...." Well I can't be at two places at one time...
Kg. Sg Rengit and Kg Pengerang is a MUST GO......Am told the WW2 fortresses are located between Mersing and Kota Tinggi....

I was unable to make it for the meet. Had to attend official open house. Tried to come back early but was hindered by very heavy traffic both sides of the MRR2. What's the latest development then. Heard from Deng that the proposed route involved the MS highway to JB (Kulai exit) and then to Desaru....pls fill us in.... _________________ What? Me Worry? |

I didnt make the meet either
Dunno what came out but I had a prior discussion with Phang about the route and stops
I suggested that we ride straight to Kulai to turn off to Desaru
Should be able to check in by noon
Then we could go exploring the most Southern part of that world with no luggage to lug around.. or laze by the pool overlooking Desaru seafront
The return trip would take us to the West Southern Coastal road from Kukup (Tg Piai?) to Pontian to Batu Pahat (maybe bangsters can do the honours to shoot a group pic in my old High School compound).. Muar and an over-night stop over in Melaka to enjoy the numerous traffic junctions there ...nway ..heard the gurls in Melaka Raya are quite wild ...
The 3rd day would bring us from Melaka to Port Dickson and from there to bagan Lalang (we finally get to go visit BL together!) and back via Morib ...
get to visit the famous kedai kopi in Tg Sepat (?)
How is this sound to you guys? |

I need to get things going or we would continue to debate where to go
Here the trip outline:
THU 8 NOV 2007
KL - Ayer Hitam - Mersing (over-night)
FRI 9 NOV 2007
Mersing - Pontian - Kukup (lunch and short visit to Tg Piai)- Batu Pahat-Muar
- Melaka (over night .. plan to book to stay at one of the famous B&B in Jonker Street)
SAT 10 NOV 2007
Melaka - PD - Bagan Lalang - Tg Sepat - Morib - KL
The ride would consist of
mixed highway and trunk (1st day),
trunk (2nd day)
trunk (3rd day)
I expect the 2nd day is most taxing covering more than 380 km of trunk roads
Bottom line we stay (1st day) in Mersing and (2nd day) in Melaka
I need your participation confirmation soonest possible to allow me to make accommodation arrangements
Cheers
