This KLR650 is for sale at RM1x,000-00. Located in Sg Petani. Not sure of year of manufacture though...but i like it.

The KLR 650 is a real workhorse of a bike. I have friends who do everything from commute on superslab to beat them to death offroad.
Think of it as the VW Bug of the bike world. Not really great at anything, but pretty good at everything.
If I recall, this one only has 53k km on it. The pics look ok, but, as I found when looking for a bike, pics can be very deceiving. Oh, I recall it being a 93.
One of the great things about the KLR is that it is a proven bike, with a LOT of support out there (e.g., www.klr650.com, etc.). Case in point: the bike remained virtually unchanged for twenty-something years, until it was redesigned for 08 (Any of those in KL? Sad thing is, for what I paid for my old Peg 3, I could've gotten a brand new 08 KLR650 back in the States... <sigh>).
There are some known issues with the bike (e.g., the infamous "doohickey"), but none are show stoppers, I think. This is the bike that many folks choose to ride around the world. In fact, a buddy of mine is prepping his KLR to do that even now.
Take a look, see what she looks like.
Is the seller willing to negotiate on the price?
It figures that this becomes available only after I've bought my Peg 3...

Hola ...hoy
Ismail, Din and oonTa went to Sg Petani last Saturday afternoon to check out the KLR. In OK condition generally. Some work needed i.e. new rear tyres, brake pads, general servicing. Offered RM12K but owner wants RM15 or more. Will KIV a few days........maybe he will reduce the price in desperation...Any ideas how to make him desperate.....e.g. call owner from public phone and offer RM8-9K only...or send Along .......borrow from Along in owners name.............hehehe........
