we are crossing border for once
haven't got chance to sit down and discuss route
in any case, we may leave Friday early morning and return Sunday evening and Mon to rest as it is a replacement holiday.
Don't think we would hit the road at dusk (ie after work) on any day
Ain't worth it
Alternately, I may plan the ride to stretch 3 nights if most are up to it
we have more R&R, sightseeing, visiting etc instead of full throttle to the destination and bang .. full throttle the next day to get to the next place

That's why I ask for those joining to take leave from 28-31 Aug

Don't think we can reach Phuket unless all are willing to spend 5 days on the road. All riding and no rest is no fun

ok ... sounds good to me .. and daniel is interested too but our big bro fadil the marshall wont be around coz he'll be off to Sulawesi for a month marshalling SAM bikers.

If u guys are leaving friday then i'm in bro. Hope the Thailand destination will be a safe and a good stay for us all as we have heard that there have been a number of sporadic shootings here and there across the border ... gotta check it out before we land our butts in one of those hotels there or else we g9onna have a hard time racing with the gunpowder brooo!!

the on-off violences are mainly concentrated in the lower eastern part of Southern Thailand

I am not sure (yet) which town we hit to but the higher up the safer
I am more concerned with bike thefts

I tend to keep ride group same and tidy

Cheers
Kenny

Hotels looks fair and nice Laughing most importantly affordable....

My main concern is our machines security....my suggestion is to chain up our bikes together kuah kuah kuah!!!...and then rent a Rottweiler Dog to guard it.......LOL!
