3 new guys joined in the ride last weekend to genting 22 July 2007
Kelvin on a Vulcan 800 .. he is keen to get a standard bike
Lau .. on a Yam Dragster .. reminds us of early bagsters with FULL CORDURA
Dashan .. a lawyer and riding a Yam FZR600 his first bike since 1992!

I got my Yoshi pipe to trash out .. got the price/performance gain
afterall, i paid measy 700 bucks for real Yoshimura ..
got the sound and slight omph in getting the rev faster .. maybe it's in the head ... dunno ... but I am happy with it

Fadzil got his 5K Akrapovic to trash as well .. bloody noisy and poor Fara sitting behind without the ear plugs ...
But guess his bike needs re-tuning as the engine was popping badly going downhill .. guess the fuel mix is a little richer causing unburnt fuel to 'pop'
and burn in the pipes

I bet another 1.5 to 2.0K would clear the bike
PCIII to remap ?
K&N to increase air-flow
new 2 tooth down rear sproket to add speed ?

I am thinking of getting a K&N too
Both my cars got one each and they are good actually

Can try to order from Sillypore

missing two tooth ..

1) you spend less time brushing
2) you use less toothpaste
3) you gain 7% top speed or (0.07x170) 12km/h

i've tolk with ah loo,it is seems workable if your power is sufficient. He even suggest me to power up 1-by changing the exhaust,...so i guess our strada is now ever ready for another 15km/h or so ne?

depends on how long you want to keep the bike
if u plan to keep for a while, replacing the exhausts seems to be the ideal or logical start.
I remembered Onta's friend with a modified Peg mufflers
Again, all on how much you want to spend.
Proven branded can cost easily more than 2K given you need a pair to swap. Local ones can be much cheaper as they are about RM500-600 a piece
Plus some custom connecting pipes, it's still in the RM1.5K range
Once proven the bike got some extra kick, swapping a 2 tooth down for 5-7% overdrive would give you (160km/h x 1.07) speed or realistically approx 10km/h more.
I think anything more than 10% over gear would strain your pickup speed and tractability.

I remembered i put a small sprocket in my Honda C70 to push the top speed from 65km/h to 80km/h.. but the pick up sucked big time

Sunday 12 Aug Ride
Ben would feel at home .. but he choose d to visit his folks in Ipoh

Anyway, with Mohan's friends and Kevin, there was a record Vulcans in the ride group.

we went own ways at Chamang
Mohan and gang had some interesting incidents
pravine result of trying to avoid another bike hit/scrapped the road's earth wall and got his hand-guard lodged into it and his bike signal light broken
The red Vulcan had a flat tire in middle of no-where to Frasier with no repair kit.. ended on a tow lorry back to KL
